You don't have to be sick to get better

Theoretical Background

My consulting philosophy stems from but is not limited to person-centered and gestalt psychology. I see my clients as more than just an athlete. I do not think my clients are sick; instead, they are functioning ineffectively due to mistaken beliefs, faulty values, unachieved goals, and a variety of other reasons.

my Humanistic approach

Person-Centered Approach

Person-centered approach is a non-directive approach to talk therapy. Each therapy session expects the client to actively take the lead, with the therapist serving mostly as a mentor or source of support.

I emphasize:

  • The process as a journey
  • Clients innate motivate towards self-actualization
  • The faulty of the therapeutic relationship
  • A growth-promoting climate

Gestalt Psychology

Gestalt therapy is a type of psychotherapy that encourages clients to concentrate on the present to better comprehend what is truly going on in their life at the time and how it is making them feel.

I emphasize:

  • Focusing on the NOW
  • A client's awareness through empathy and kind confrontation
  • Helping clients "stand on their own two feet"
  • Experienced the emotions, thoughts, and feelings while also talking about them
