Hello!
My name is Jordan Smith. I am originally from all over the United States (Nevada, Georgia, Iowa, and New York) but I say I'm from New York . I graduated summa cum laude from Eastern Michigan University double majoring in communications and psychology while also playing Division I collegiate volleyball. I then went to New York University (NYU) to obtain my masters in psychology. Right now, I am currently a doctoral candidate at Florida State University specializing in sport psychology.
Additionally, I am a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC), which means I have specialized training and qualifications to help individuals enhance their mental skills and optimize their performance in various domains.
My goal is to help individuals reach their peak performance by equipping them with mental skills to help them improve their confidence, self-efficacy, and better cope with the pressures of competition.
My unique perspective and theoretical background sees clients as more than just an athlete and see the world from the client's subjective point of view.
I have had the opportunity to work with various sport teams and individual athletes all working towards achieving their peak performance.
As a former Division I athlete, I understand what it take to achieve greatness and overcome adversity to achieve goals.
